Don’t call it a comeback

I don’t even know where to begin.

Story in a nutshell: redesigning Fort Nucks took longer than anticipated.

Story in a coconut shell: redesigning Fort Nucks took effort and I’m very lazy.

Either way, volia, it’s back! Your one stop shop for behind the scenes access to the Vancouver Canucks has returned and it won’t just be while I’m on the road with the team, it’ll be all the time – and I actually mean that this time!

That being said, I am on my first road trip of the season with the Canucks this freakin’ week, meaning unbelievable access and tomfoolery will be as fresh as that prince from Bel-Air effective immediately.

We fly to Ottawa Tuesday, with stops in New York, Carolina and Nashville on this four-game, eight-day trek, my first under coach John Tortorella. Torts and I are basically BFFs already, but spending time together on the road, bonding, will definitely improve my standing with him; Tortorella is a big fan of Twitter and behind the scenes blogs, so I’m in luck!

I know, I’m toast.

Did I mention Jeff Vinnick is traveling as well and Behind the Lens will make its season debut? In the wise words of the Kool-Aid Man: Oh yeah!

As usual, I’d love to hear from you because I’m here for you. If you want a player featured, have a pesky question to ask or just want to say hi and tell me my fashion has improved this year, comment under any story or tweet @VanCanucks. If I’m on the road, I want you to feel like you’re on the road, so please reach out.

Time to hit the road with the Canucks, I’m glad you’re coming along.

Derek

P.S. – This trip is going to fly by, I’ll be back before you know it.
